Public forum on scrapping CET
Chennai: The M.Anandakrishnan committee that is examining the
issue of scrapping the common entrance test for admission to
professional undergraduate courses will hear the views of members
of the public and representatives of educational institutions
through two public hearings to be held in Chennai and Madurai.
While the Chennai forum will be held on August 7 at 11 a.m.
at the Vivekananda Auditorium, Anna University, the Madurai
forum will be held on August 13 at 11 a.m at Thyagaraja Engineering
College, a release here said. Members of the public or representatives
of educational institutions can either send in their representations
through e-mail at lo@tndte.gov.in or in person to the committee
