R.M.D. Engineering College

Sri Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust is a registered body founded in the year 2000 in Chennai with a motivation to impart excellent, high quality technical education and develop a disciplined and intergrated personality of the aspiring rural youth of Tamilnadu. The trust is a sister organization of the Lakshmikanthammal Educational Trust which has sponsored the R.M.K. Engineering College in a neighbouring location. To fulfill its objective, the Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust has established the Ravalle Munirathinam Durgadevi (R.M.D. College of Engineering) in R.S.M. Nagar, Kavaraipettai, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur Dt., Tamilnadu in the year 2001. The college is spread over an area of about 50 acres. When the College was started, the whole land was barren with no proper roads, electricity, water supply etc. The campus is being developed rapidly and asphalted roads, good water supply with a spare generator set and permanent buidings are being provided.
