Vinayaka Mission's Annapoorna
College of Nursing was established in the year 1991. It is one of
the oldest nursing college in Salem, Tamilnadu, India. The objective
of the Institution is the excellence in the nursing education for global
practice. The college was started with the undergraduate and now with
the post graduate programs.
The College was approved and recognised by the Government and Indian
Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi. This is a constituent College of the
Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation Deemed University(VMRF-DU), Salem.

Laboratories: The laboratories
are adequately furnished with modern equipments and instruments for
the use of individual student and for the practical demonstration to
small groups by teachers. Charts, models and case reports are also available
for small group discussions. Periodical evaluation of student performance
both in theory and practical are made.
Library: The library of this college needs a special mention.
it has a huge collection of classics and recent books on nursing, other
allied medical books, and Indian & Foreign Journals. it is well
enriched with dissertain work done by our interness and post graduates.
The open access system is being followed in the library to opt the required reading materials directly without any barrier.
The userss are communicated about the information of the new arrivals by exhibiting them promptly. The librarians can help
users to expolit library collections and the resources to the full including support services such as, net worked databases,
CD-ROMs and access to internet.
Tranport: Two College buses and Two vans are available for the
staffs and students to attend health camps, educational trips and to
visit vaious rural health centres as a part of their academic programs.
Transport facility is extended to the students and the staff for attending
college and the hospital related works. Available for all the students
who are coming from various places and all the routes.

With its due recognition, the college is now established as one of the
main centres of study in nursing for the students hailing from far
and near districts. The successful students are being employed immediately
in various hospitals in India and Abroad.
