The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Cbe) Ltd. which first supported the
College has activities spread in the two States Tamilnadu and Kerala.
Affiliated to the Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai the college
offers the 5 ½ years Programme for the degree in Ayurveda (Bachelor
of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery). The practical and the clinical part
of the erudite program is well supported by the 100 bedded hospital
at Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore and the 15 bedded heavily subsidized medical
facility at Mangarai. At the Traditional-healing Center situated in
the valley of the Western Ghats of Mangarai, in addition to Yoga and
Massage Therapy, the traditional styles of Pizhichil, Navarakili and
Dhara are discharged meticulously. It is a haven for foreigners from
world over.
The traditional Ayurveda formulations numbering over 500 are prepared
as per the stringent standards handed down from the Vedas. The Manufacturing
Unit and the R&D Center are located in Kanjicode with the Western
Ghats in the background. This sylvan setting is not only the home for
collection but also the reservoir for the medicinal plants and herbs
which go into the preparation. The wide spread acceptability of Ayurveda
round the globe has prompted a tie-up with a Singapore Company for exclusive
marketing of Ayurveda products.
