Profile
Vickram College of Engineering, is a premier professional college founded and managed by engineers. The college offers holistic education giving equal thrust to professional and personal development. VICKRAMCE is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

The college was started in the year 2001 with three branches of study, namely Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. In 2002, Electrical & Electronics was included. In 2004, Civil and Mechanical Engineering were added. At present, there are about 500 students pursuing engineering under these departments.

Infrastructure
The college campus spreads over a spacious area of 40 acres, on Madurai Sivagangai highway. The college is built as per international standards. The Educational area measures to 1,50,000 sq-ft garden. The college is just 20 minutes drive from Madurai, the temple city of India. We have planted about 1200 trees so far to add to the beauty of the campus.
Library: The college has a fully computerized, well-stocked and well-maintained library to complement the learning process. Besides the classroom lecture, the college gives equal importance to reference studies on the topics covered. The computerized library houses about 15,000 volumes of 12000 titles. The library is equipped with 10 computers for academic and browsing purposes. The college has planned to provide air-conditioning for the Library.

Labs & Workshops: All the class rooms and laboratories are emphatically spacious and well furnished. The laboratories are outfitted with advanced equipments. The computer center is primed with over 120 state-of-the-art computer systems. The College gives full trust towards practice and hence its labs, workshops and libraries are equipped with modern infrastructure.

Hostel: The institute offers residential facilities to the students managed by experienced wardens who ensure that the inmates feel at home.
Separate well-furnished, safe & secure Men's and Women's Hostel are situated within the campus. There is a mess unit for each hostel. Students staying in the hostel have to necessarily take their food in the Hostel Mess. The mess attached to the hostels are managed with student's participation.
For the recreation of the inmates, each Hostel has Recreation room with television, library, Gymnasium and browsing facilities. Separate telephone connections are available for the respective hostels. The students can also avail themselves the facilities provided by the Physical Education and Sports department.

The Department of Training and Placement interacts with reputed organizations all over the country for arranging Campus Inteviews for the placement of final year students.
