Valliammai Engineering
College has been established to cherish the memories
of mother VALLIAMMAI in 1999. This is
one of the prestigious top ranking institutions in our
country and affiliated to Anna University. At present
more then 2000 students are pursuing the studies with
an annual intake of 600 students. The main objective of
this college is to attain the highest standards in engineering
education to prepare engineering professionals to meet
the demands of the society.
This college, strives to inculcate the self-disciplinary
measures to the students so that when they leave the portals
of this college, they will be equipped to face the competitive
world with confidence.

The College has 150 well qualified and highly
motivated teaching staff with trained technical supporting
staff to provide quality education to the students. The
college has the most modern and fully equipped laboratories.
It has acquired the necessary infrastructure such as fully
computerized Library, Workshop, Hostel facilities and
Canteen.
In addition to laying down high academic standards, the
college is also committed in nurturing the talents of
the students who are encouraged to participate in co-curricular
and extra-curricular activities. The students are also
induced to active part in sports in to order to have the
necessary physical and psychological developments.

A senior professor has been nominated as
the head of the Placement and Training Cell which helps
students to do their career planning. Most interviews
and group discussions are organised to familiarize students
with standard selection procedures.
Campus interviews are arranged every year in association
with large industrial and commercial firms and corporate
bodies. As a result, students of SRM have benefited every
year with progressively remunerative and rewarding placements
in reputed organisations.
