St. MICHAEL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY was started in
the year 1998 by a noted Educationalist 'Kalvi Rathna' Dr.V. Michael
B.E., M.I.S.E., Ph.D(U.S.A), with a challenging commitment to
produce quality Engineers with professionalism. The College is sponsored
by St. Michael Educational & Charitable trust. Tmt. M. Fathima Mary
is the Secretary of the Institution and the Directors of the
Trust are

accredited by NBA-AICTE - New Delhi - Govt. of India.

The campus is located in a vast area of 150 acres in a clean and flourishing
atmosphere, situated for instructional studies with adequate facilities
at St. Santhiakapper Nagar, about 12 KM away from Sivagangai on the
Madurai - Thondi National Highway.
There is a devoted team of faculty with an excellent academic record added
with Professional experience in all branches of Engineering &
Technology & Computer Applications. Two of them are Doctorates
and four are being doing research leading to Ph.D. in different field.
Computer Science & Engg. Our Computer Department has 250 computers
in the main lab and all the latest softwares are available in the
computer lab. A department library with more than 1000 books are attached
to the department for the benefit of the students and faculties.
Chemical Engg. Testing Engines like 2 stroke, 4 stroke engines, Refrigeration
machine, Bomb Calorimeter, Cleveland Apparatus, Boiler Models, Venturi
Meter, Orifice Meter, Packed Beds, Fluidised Beds, Helical Coil, Heat
Exchanges, Convection Apparatus, Distillation Setup, Extraction Column,
HETP Setup, Wetted Wall Column, Plug Flow Reactor, Batch Reactors,
Mixed Flow Reactor, Cyclone Seperator, Ball Mil, Air Elutriator, Froth
Flotation, Baum Jig Chromatography Setup.
Electronics & Communication Engg. Testing and Measuring Instruments
like DMMs, CROs, Signal Generators, 100 MHz mixed Signal Oscilloscope,
Digital IC rainers, Communication Laboratory Trainers, DSP Kits, Fibre
Optics Lab Kits, Microcontroller Kits, Microwave test benches, ACER
Systems and Windows NT Servers, Dot Matrix Printer and Software Packages
like Matlab 6.1 and Office 2000.
Electrical & Electronics Engg. Testing
and Measuring Instruments like D.C. Machines, A.C. Machines CROS,
Signal generators, 100 MHZ mixed signal Oscilloscope, Microprocessor
kits, Power Electronics equipments. There is a department library
with more than 500 books.
Biotechnology Our Department Labs are equipped with highly sophisticated
instruments. A department library with more than 1000 books are availabe
for the benefit of students and faculties.
The Central Library has an area of 3000 Sq. ft. It is well equipped
with about 15,000 volumes and subscribed to 20 International and 40
National Journals, Magazines and Periodicals.

The Department of Training, Counseling and Placement, enriches the skills of students
to cater to the requirements of the Industry and to take up technical
professional responsibilities. Placement of our students is highly
encouraging with many of them placed in national and multinational
