Muthayammal Educational Trust
was founded in 1983 by with objective of delivering qualitative
education to the younger generation of the country. On
a span of 20 years the trust has established an Engineering
College, an Arts and Science, a Polytechnic and an Industrial
Training Institute.
The Muthayammal Educational Trust has been registered
in Chennai; the capital of Tamil Nadu, in 1983. The Trusts
objective to disseminate value based education to inculcated
in growing minds discipline as well as spiritual, moral,
ethical, and cultural values has seen it grow into its
present stature. The desired goal of the Institution is
to make every student a valuable person with well-versed
knowledge to face the harsh reality of the highly competitive
world of profession. Besides, character building in making
the students useful and potential citizens is another
sphere of its objectives. The Trust is headed by a steering
committee of lively members.

Muthayammal Engineering College is a co- educational self financing institution
approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Periyar University
, Salem ; set up in 19 the college has earned a status of its own
quality engineering education. The institution striver to provide
a conducive atmosphere and self improvement. The institution lays
emphasis on discipline and inculcates spiritual, moral, and ethical
values into the students.

All the colleges are fully equipped with regard to staff and amenities. The
Engineering College consist of well-equipped modern Laboratories and
Computer Labs updated with both hardware & software s to time.
The Arts and Science College is furnished with till date equipments
and apparatuses for its labs and a state of the art Biotechnology
Lab. The Polytechnic and ITI also are equipped with modern machineries
for its students.
The Colleges have not only Laboratories and Libraries but also ample space for
Sports and Games like Volleyball, Football & Cricket. Personality
Development Programmes like Spoken English, Hindi, and Computer training
are also provided. Events like Yoga and Meditation are arranged for
the students who need them.
Libraries: Each College have their own Libraries.
These Libraries are volumed with more than 10,000 Books.
Monthly more than 60 journals are subscribed. 9 dailies
in various languages like English, Tamil, Malayalam &
Telugu are made available to cater to the needs of different
sections of student community. The students can access
a large range of books both in Educative and Entertainment
fields.
Hostel Facilities: There are three hostels,
one for undergraduate boys, the second for Post graduate
boys and the third for all the Girl students, Balanced,
nutritious vegetarian food is supplied to all the students.
Once in a week, Non vegetarian food is supplied to those
students who want it. A special feature of our Hostels
is that all the rooms are bath-attached. The mess is run
on dividing system.
Transport Facilities: Students living within a
radius of 60 Kilometers from the Colleges can pursue the
College Buses as day scholars. More than 25 buses are
operated from several terminals such as Salem, Erode,
Namakkal, Attur, Edappadi, Mettur, Thiruchengode, Paramathi
Velur, Mohanur, Thalaivasal, Gangavalli, Veeraganur, Thammampatti
and Tharamangalam.

A very efficient and active placement cell
is functioning separately in each institution.The cell
is managed by a team of experts led by a very senior and
experienced faculty member with varied industrial exposure.
The cell prepares skills. All efforts are made to conduct
both campus and off campus interviews and students are
guided for proper placements.
