KCG College of Technology
(KC Tech) was established in 1998 and is affiliated to
the Anna University and also approved
by the All India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Government
of Tamil Nadu. It is the latest addition to the Hindustan
Group of Institutions.
The vision of the College is "to develop KC Tech
into an Institution of Excellence in Engineering Education
at Graduate and Post Graduate level and to carry out quality
research in Science, Engineering and Technology".
The Hindustan Group of Institutions in 1966 by our Founder
Chairman late Dr.K.C.G.Verghese. Way
back in the sixties, our Founder realized the need for
an institution that offers non-formal technical education.
The Vision of the Hindustan Group is
"To Make Every Man A Success And No Man A Failure".

The buildings have been planned and created
in order to provide modern and latest facilities for the
students. It has a built-up area of more than 2,00,000
sq.ft., for the first phase itself. The campus has been
designed by leading architects with landscaped courtyards
and artificial lakes, which add beauty to the atmosphere
of the classrooms and other places. Classrooms are furnished
with modern seating arrangements with facilities for using
audio-visual aids such as OHPs, LCD projectors etc.
The newly built campus has a well-planned layout, beautifully
landscaped to house academic blocks, computer center,
centrally air-conditioned library, A/C seminar theatre
and conference halls with sophisticated audio-visual equipments,
air-conditioned cafeteria, co-operative stores, indoor
/outdoor sports complex etc. Modern hostel facilities
are also available seperately for girls and boys with
options for double and triple bedrooms accommodation with
attached bathrooms. The laboratories and workshops are
equipped with state-of-the-art machines, which have already
won the appreciation of the academic community within
the short span of time. In addition round the clock transport
facility, STD/ISD/Xerox booths and stand by generators
are also available.
Computer Centre: Considering the urgency
to inculcate indepth knowledge in computer technology,
the college has made computer literacy compulsory for
its students. Our center offers them easy access to the
highly sophisticated facilities available here. The center
is equipped with over 100 IBM machines and latest software
packages like RDBMS, UNIX etc, two operating systems with
windows NT, LINUX, Windows 98. IBM and Netfinity servers,
Pentium III Processor, 256 MB memory, 20 GB hard disks
constitute the configuration of the systems. The center
facilitates high-speed Internet connection.
Library: The fully air-conditioned college library is
well equipped with several thousand technical books with
over 50 National and International Magazines and Journals.
There is a seperate section for reference and stack. The
library is equipped with a computerized catalogue which
facilitates online reference. Besides, the library provides
Inter-library Loan Service from AIRC (American Information
Resource Centre), The British Council Library and has
access to the vast resources available at the Hindustan
College of Engineering library.
