Kamban Engineering College,
an ISO 9001 - 2000 certified co- educational institution in Tiruvannamalai
promoted by the Jeeva Educational Trust with a view to serve the area,
was established in the year 2001 by Mr. E.V. Velu, a visionary
person who believes " Hard work is the key to success".
You may have a preconceived idea of just what Kamban does offer but,
with growth, has come evolution. No longer we are one of the providers
in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology. Because our
knowledge based feature will demand that our students be educated
in what is practical and useful, but it will require, more the ever

Kamaban Engineering College is one among the leading institutions

from DNV (Det Norske Veritas) Netherlans in 2001 in recognition
of its world class quality students. The core academic processes and

Accommodation:
The college provides separate hostel facilities for both boys &
girls with in the campus. The hostel has well furnished rooms. Hygienic
Mess, recreation & sports facilities. Adequate facility is available
to provide clean drinking water to the students to maintain the cleanliness
of the environment.
Transport:
The college also provides transport facilities for the day scholars.
College buses regularly ply between Tiruvannamalai and its surroundings.
Buses are operated to near by towns such as Vellore, Gingee, Villupuram,
Polur, Tirukovilur, Chengam
Medicare:
The college has a dedicated doctor available round the clock for attending
to the students in need of medical consultancy and treatment.
Library Services: The Kamban central library serves the needs of students
and faculty with range of information resources and comfortable, quiet
study areas, some with Internet hook - ups. The college boasts of
a large collection of books, approximately 20,000 volumes for the
under - graduate courses around 500 volumes for the post -graduate
programme MCA. This excellent book collection is complemented by subscription
to more then 50 foreign journals and round 100 national journals and
periodical magazines. The library also has a wide collection of Educational
CD- ROM's. Te audio - visual castes with question papers for GRE,
TOEFL and other competitive examinations are also available. Short-term
courses on evolving technologies based on the need of the industry
are given to the students during vacation so as to prepare them to
face industrial challenges.
Inter state students make an important contribution to the academic and
life of the college. Students from Andhrapradesh, Kerala, Pandicherry,
Andaman & Nicobar Islands from a major part of the student strength.
Computing Services: Everybody at Kamban use the Network and facilities provided
by the computing services - electronic mail and the web to analyse
and present data, to use word processing packages, and to gather information
from all round the world.

The Placement & Training Cell gives support and help primarily to students and
new graduates of the college who are seeking information and also
arranges for campus interviews.
Kamban believes in the fact that teaching should always be complemented
with experience. Hence periodical Industrial visits are arranged for
all the departments, Guest from industries are invited for presenting
lectures on the latest trends in technologies.
Technical Symposium s from a part of the academic activity where students from
Engineering college all over India take part in such Symposiums there
by providing the students with an opportunity to share knowledge.

them to face the industrial challenges.
