Sriram Educational Trust was
founded in the year 1983 with donations from philanthropists for the
noble purpose of promoting education at all levels by establishing Polytechnic,
Institute of Catering Technology and Hotel Management, Engineering College,
Arts & Science College, Institute of Business Management and Training
and Research Institutions. Students hailing from the backward areas
of Tiruvallur and North Arcot districts of Tamilnadu have been immensely
benefited by the Educational Institutions run by the Trust.
The Sriram Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology
functions under the management of Sriram Educational Trust and is dedicated
to bring global excellence in the field of Hospitality Education. It
is situated in a large campus of Greenland with modern infrastructure.

Food Production: We teach and train with practicals
for all 3 years including all international & Indian foods and Bakery
products namely Continental, Italian, German, French, Mexicans etc.
Food & Beverage Service: Every Student is given
individual attention on practical training in our well equipped training
restaurant for all 3 years at various levels namely wines of the world
& cocktails.
House Keeping and Front Office: Here, we teach theory
as well as practicals on upto date trend which are followed in all star
hotels.
Other Features: Food Science Lab, Computer Centre Library
Facility, Seminar Hall Gym/Games.
Hostel: Separate Hostels for men and women Tasty food
provided.
Transportation: Our institute is well connected by
Train and it is at a walkable distance from Veppampattu Railway Station.
College Bus Service is also available from all parts of Chennai.

Every student is offered with campus interviews by all star hotels and
catering establishments which is conducted at our Campus and abroad
training and studies can also be arranged.
Industrial Exposure Training: After 1st year completion
every student is placed in a Star Hotel to undertake 6 months on the
Job Training (It is a part of our curricilum)
