The K.S.R College of Arts and
Science is a part of K.S.R. Educational Institutions. Situated in
salubrious and a serene campus of 300 acres, 12 kms from Erode and 8
kms from Tiruchengode, all around this educational complex one finds
textile, paper, sugar, chemical and granite industries in promising
augury of employment for the students of the K.S.R. Institutions. The
motto of the crest of K.S.R.C.A.S is KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
The college has been started with the clear-cut idea of providing educational
facilities of the higher order. As in the case of industry, in the realms
of education also infrastructure plays a very important role. The college
has rich infrastructure and several hundreds of lakhs have been invested
towards infrastructure building activities. The college offers courses
in the emerging areas of biological science, information technology
and management studies. A strategically well planned and executed curriculum
and co-curriculum provides an enriching and rewarding educational experience
here. As said it is to transform this centre of learning into a University
of national importance serving the higher education at all levels towards
which we strive.

Centre for Biological Sciences:
The Centre has a good collection of text books, reference books,
lab manuals, Gene cloning-4 Vo Bergey's Manual, Topley & Wilson,
CD database, DNA packages, journals, general magazines besides the Central
Library facilities.
Bioinformatics
facilities are available with 30 systems. The Students have full access
at all times to the computer lab, which is well equipped with latest
softwares and hardwares.
Centre for Information Technology: The Centre has an exclusive
Library to cater to the needs of knowledge of the IT students and staff
members. The library subscripts to online journals and has a good collection
of Journals and Magazines on Software, Hardware, Networking etc.
The Centre has separate lab for Multimedia, RDBMS, Languages and Internet
with the latest configuration systems. The Internet lab in the college
has state of the art technology 128 kbps upstream and 256 downstream
leased line facility. The staff and students are provided unlimited
Internet access round the clock.
Centre for Management Studies: The Centre has an exclusive and
extensive library which stocks plenty of management books, reports,
business news papers, magazines and journals, CDs, audio and video cassettes
on management and computerised. The centre has a separate computer lab
which consists of systems with updated configuration.

The college has a separate and
an active Training, Placement and Entrepreneur Development cell. Here
the future careers of each student is planned, moulded and matched with
his/her abilities and potentials is manned by a placement cell headed
by a senior faculty as a co-ordinator.
The Focus is not only placing students but also giving effective training in
the aspects of self-development, Entrepreneurship and for physical
and mental well being. Constant updating and communication is maintained
between the institute and the Industries / Experts to facilitate Campus
recruitment and to guide students in taking up challenging career
opportunities.
