Application Cost:
In Person: Rs.600/- (General) and Rs.300/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST
candidates)
By Post: Rs.630/- (General) and Rs.330/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates)
Mode of Payment (DD):
Demand Draft in favour of "The Director, Admissions, Anna University,
Chennai" payable at Chennai from any Nationalised bank.
Application Forms:
- In Person: Application
forms can be had on payment of DD at Examination Centre,
Anna University, Chennai-600 025.
- By Post: By sending
DD for Rs.630/- (Rs.330/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates)
(including postal charges) along with a requisition letter
and a self-addressed slip To "The Director (Admissions),
Anna University, Chennai - 600 025".

Application form can be downloaded from the website www.annauniv.edu/msc5years
and send the application along with Demand Draft for Rs.600/-
(General) and Rs.300/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates) towards
registration fee.
Eligbility:
(1) M.Sc. (Computer Science) / M.Sc. (Information Technology)
A pass in the H.Sc. (Academic) in the first appearance itself,
with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry as three of the four
subjects of study prescribed under Part III or its equivalent
with a minimum average marks of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
put together, 60% for O.C., 55% for B.C., 50% for M.B.C./DC
and a pass for SC/ST.
(2) M.Sc. (Electronic Media)
A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2 curriculum
of any group under Part III (or) its equivalent.
Age Limit: The candidate shall not have completed
21 years of age as on 1st July 2007. The age restriction is
relaxable by 3 years for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates.
Candidates appeared /appearing for the qualifying Examination
in April / May 2007 may also apply for Admission.
Selection Procedure:
A. For M.Sc (Computer Science) / M.Sc. (Information Technology)
The selection of candidates will be based on the percentage
of aggregate marks obtained in the prescribed subjects Mathematics,
Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
The marks in these subjects will be reduced to a base of 300
(Mathematics-100; Physics- 100; Chemistry-100). Ranking of the
candidate will be done based on the aggregate marks to a maximum
of 300.
In cases where more than one candidate have got the same mark
in the common merit list the inter-se merit among such candidates
shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:
(1) Percentage of marks in Mathematics
(2) Percentage of marks in Physics
(3) Percentage of marks in the fourth optional subject and
(4) Date of birth
B. For M.Sc. (Electronic Media)
The selection of candidates will be based on the percentage
of marks obtained in the subjects under Part III (Except Part
I - Language and Part II -English). Ranking will be done based
on the percentage of average marks obtained in the subjects
under Part-III (except Part I – Language and Part II -
English)
In cases where more than one candidate have got the same mark
in the common merit list the inter-se merit among such candidates
shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:
(1) Percentage of overall total marks and
(2) Date of Birth
The completed application forms should reach "The Director
(Admissions), Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai -
600 025" on or before 20.06.2007, by 05:30 PM. |
