Matric / Anglo-Indian Examination - 2006 |
05 June 2006 - Results of the Tamil
Nadu SSLC / OSLC / Matric / AISLC Public Examinations held this
year released. A total of 8,14,809 appeared for the S.S.L.C
examination — 7,26,934 students appeared through schools
while 87,875 appeared as private candidates.
The pass percentage of those who appeared through schools, though,
fell by 0.2 percentage points to 77.6 per cent this year, said

R.Dharani of Vidhyaa Vikas Girls Higher Secondary
School, Varahoorampatti (Namakkal) and A.Ramya
of Kalaimagal Kalvi Nilayam, Erode with 491/500 marks.
The second rank was shared by three students, T.Manjuroja
of Adarsh Vidyalaya High School, Anithiyur, Gopichettipalayam;
S.Prasanth of E R Higher Secondary School, Tiruchi
and L.Krishnamoorthy of Santhome Higher Secondary
School, Mylapore scored 489/500 marks.
Five students bagged third rank - R.Annelyn Beulah
and R. Meena Kumari of St Joseph's Convent Higher
Secondary School, Nagercoil; K.S.Nirmalkumar of
Ideal Higher Secondary School, Ideal Nagar, Gopichettipalayam;
G.Pavithra of V.V. Girls Higher Secondary School,
Vaarhoorampatti, Namakkal and A.S.Niraimathi of
Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School, Thanjavur,
scored 488/500 marks each.

Higher Secondary School, Madurai with 1067/1100 marks, followed by R.Manimekala of Christian Matriculation
Higher Secondary School, Oddanchatram with 1064/1100 marks
and G.Sunitha of Sethubhaskara Matriculation Higher
Secondary School, Ambattur, Chennai scored 1063/1100 marks.

OSLC Examinations
The students of Sri Ahobila Mutt Oriental Higher Secondary
School, Chennai, secured first two ranks. S.Aishwarya
scored 562/600 marks and S.Sinduja, 560/600 marks.
N.Shawana Shahin of Habibia Oriental Arabic Girls
Higher Secondary School, Ambur, scored third rank by getting
558/600 marks.
