Sri Sai Ram Polytechnic
College has been established in the year of 1996-97
by Leo Muthu Educational Trust with the
intention of bringing technical education to both urban
and rural students. Since it runs with the principles
of Shirdi Sai Baba, the institution is aptly and appropriately
named after 'Sri Sai Ram' whose motto is to serve the
people without any prejudice to caste, creed or religion.
The institution has a ward system through which individual
care is given to each student by the concerned staff member
who is their warden. Through this system, a close link
is established and maintained between the warden the students
and the warden does his/her best to solve even the personal
problems of their wards by proper counseling. Special
coaching is provided for the weaker students in the evening
and on holidays.

The Institution has a total campus of 80 acres
of land with necessary and substantial infrastructural
facilities like well ventilated Class Rooms, Laboratories,
Modern Workshops and Drawing Halls.
A well-stocked and highly maintained library is available.
Many journals, magazines and reference materials are also
available and the library is augmented with more volumes
of books and journals regularly.
Students chapter of Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering (IEEE) and students chapter of Indian Society
for Technical Education (STE) has been established for
the further development of students. A chapter of Indian
Society of Technical Education is also being established
for staff development
Under Teaching Aid cell, we have all the necessary facilities
and equipments like Audio Visual Aids, overhead projectors,
slide projectors, etc. The institution provides ample
facilities for Physical Education with the assistance
of a qualified Physical Director.
The eligible and needy students are provided with State
Government Scholarship every year. The management has
been providing Internet facilities and a computer laboratory
with enough Pentium Processors and multimedia.

The Placement cell is actively engaged in
organizing campus recruitment for our students. So far
65 students belonging to the 2005-2008 batch have been
placed successfully.
