Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust was formed and registered under
the Societies Act of Tamilnadu at Madras on 10th September 1984. This
Trust is constituted by a group of philanthropists, educationists
and industrial magnets. To promote technical, medical and para-medical
education in India.
The College has been approved by the Government of Tamilnadu, vide G.O. Ms. No.
419, H & FW (PME) department dated 28-07-1998 of the Health &
Family Welfare Department and is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M
G R Medical University, Chennai, vide proc. No. 32138/Affin II (2)
98 dated 13-07-1999. It is private, self-financing, co-educational
college.

The College is provided with spacious buildings to accommodate Reception, Office,
Lecture Halls, Library, Students Common Room, Laboratories and Operation
Theatre. Te College is provided with all infrastructural facilities.
The Library has a good collection of medical & para-medical books with latest
reference books, journals and magazines relating to Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation.

Campus interviews are conducted to give students the opportunity to present
their talents to prospective employers. Many are offered positions
in good organisations even awaiting completion of their course.
