Madurai: Engineering graduates of the 2008 batch, who were recruited by information technology companies through campus placement but are yet to receive their joining dates, can expect some good news in February.
“Several companies have given an assurance to me that the joining dates will be intimated to the candidates by February,” Anna University (Chennai) Vice-Chancellor P. Mannar Jawahar told The Hindu here on Wednesday.
The university was in touch with major software companies, which had given offer letters to students of affiliated engineering colleges, but delayed announcing the joining dates owing to the global meltdown, he said.
