Conoscenza ’08 at TNAU
Coimbatore: An inter-collegiate meet, “Conoscenza ‘08”,
was held at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Organised
by the Department of Agricultural and Rural Management of the
university, it saw 300 management students from 25 colleges
from across the country participate.
S. Chandrasekharan, General Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Coimbatore,
inaugurated it and urged the students to foresee change and
be prepared to act according to it.
Vice-Chancellor C. Ramasamy said the world was becoming knowledge
driven and the present technology society was gradually getting
transformed into a knowledge society.
“The 21st century is witnessing the emergence of new management
ideas. Similarly, farmers need to be exposed to fundamental
management principles for efficient management of their farms,
which is equivalent to managing an industry,” Mr. Ramasamy
said.
Paper presentation and human resource game, were some of the
events held. Event prizes were given to colleges.
