ICAI to tie up with Bharathiar University
Chennai: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
will enter into an agreement with Bharathiar University on December
4 to enable its students to enrol for BBA or MBA, institute
chairman Ved Jain said on Sunday.
Participating in the first ever convocation of the ICAI Southern
region, he said BBA was meant for intermediate students and
MBA for final-year students.
The nine-month MBA course would start in December. The students
had to clear five out of the 15 papers selected by the ICAI.
Mr. Jain said three more universities had also shown interest
in enrolling ICAI students in BBA and MBA. The details would
be announced soon.
The ICAI was also joining hands with the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in Singapore, Australia and Canada to facilitate
easy mobility of members across the borders.
Handing over the certificate to more than 700 Chartered Accountants,
Mr. Jain urged the students not to get perturbed by the news
reports that talks about MBA students being offered salary of
more than Rs.7 lakh a month.
