Coimbatore: The Department of Botany of Bharathiar University entered into a memorandum of understanding with Suguna Poultry Farm Limited recently.
The company will provide a grant of Rs. 4 lakh to cover research inputs and remuneration for research scholars and travelling expenses.
The Department in turn will help the industry in the development of certain poultry feed supplements. The project that will take off as a result of the MoU will be for two years.
The other areas of the MoU will include biodiversity conservation and scientific validation of traditional knowledge.
