Madurai: A technical symposium was conducted by Electrical and Electronics
Engineering Department of K.L.N. College of Information Technology recently. M. Saravanan, Associate Professor, Thiagarajar College
of Engineering, in his inaugural address, stressed the need
for utilising solar energy and energy conservation in an era
of energy crisis. K.N.K.Karthik, vice-president, K. L.
N. Sourashtra College of Engineering Council, presided.
K. P. Lakshmanan, Head, Department of EEE, welcomed the gathering.
G. R. Radhakrishnan, joint secretary, M. Sachithanandam, Principal,
and S. K. Ramalingam, Dean, spoke.
Department of Automobile Engineering, K.L.N. College of Engineering,
and Department of Mechanical Engineering, K.L.N. Polytechnic
College, jointly conducted a seminar on ‘Features of
modern car engines’ recently.
S. Rajasekaran, Managing Director of Susee Cars and Trucks,
explained the technical features of Modern I10 Hyundai cars.
He also explained about the nine sensors used in modern cars
to improve the efficiency of the engine, 16 values used in
4 cylinder engines, ABS systems, air bags, turbo charged engines,
new 6 stroke engine, hydrogen and compressed air cars.
