Campus Connect - Placement
Madurai: Campus recruitment drives were conducted for the post of software engineer at KLN College of Engineering here recently. Bangalore-based IT Major company ‘Virtusa’ and IT and R and D company Lucid Imaging conducted the recruitments.
In the recruitment conducted by ‘Virtusa’ nearly 400 students KLN College of Engineering, KLN College of Information and Technology, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai Kamaraj University and Sri Meenakshi Government Arts and Science College participated. Of all 18 students were finally selected for placement after participating in written test and interview.
The selected candidates will be put under training for one year with an annual salary of Rs.3 lakh either in Chennai or Bangalore.
In the recruitment conducted by Lucid Imaging, as many as 400 students from KLN College of Engineering, KLN College of Information and Technology, participated. As many as 11 students were selected with an annual salary of Rs.2.5 lakh at Bangalore.

A campus recruitment by Wti Advanced Technology, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services was conducted at K.L. Nagaswamy Memorial Polytechnic College for jobs in its Chennai and Coimbatore branches.
The recruitment was conducted for Mechanical, EC, EEE and computer diploma candidates who had passed out in April 2008 and 2007. As many as 130 students from various polytechnic colleges participated in which 25 from KLNPC and 28 students from other colleges were selected. Sona Somic Lemforder Components Ltd, Chennai, conducted a drive for Mechanical and automobile candidates who had passed out in 2008, 2007 and 2006. In total 60 candidates attended the drive and six from KLNPC and 10 from other polytechnic colleges made it successfully.
