TNAU signs MoU with Canada university
COIMBATORE: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has
signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nova Scotia Agricultural
College (NSAC), Canada. According to a release from TNAU, a
dual degree programme on “Environmental Horticulture”
will be started as part of the agreement. Under this programme,
students would have to complete five semesters in TNAU and the
remaining three semesters at NSAC. They would get certificates
from both the universities.
Brian Crouse, Manager, Student Recruitment and Awards, NSAC,
and M.Thangaraju, Director, Students Welfare, TNAU, signed the
agreement. The Vice Chancellor of TNAU, C.Ramasamy, emphasised
the need for more such pacts with Western universities in order
to strengthen the academic abilities of graduates and to facilitate
employability. In this regard, the TNAU was also taking efforts
to promote agricultural education.
