KCG College of Technology celebrates 10th anniversary
Chennai: K C G College of Technology, an associate
of the Hindustan Group of institutions, announced in their 10th
Annual Day celebrations on April 07, that placements for students
with reputed institutions.
Dr R Christodas Gandhi IAS, Secretary, Department of Youth Welfare
and Sports Development, Govt. of Tamil Nadu was the Chief Guest
at the function with Shri R Ramanathan IRSE, Chief Administrative
Officer (Construction & MTP), Southern Railway, Chennai
was the Guest of Honour. Smt. Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson,
Hindustan Group of Institutions presided over the function and
several other dignitaries participated.
Presenting the Annual Report for the year 2007-08, Dr A Swamidurai,
Principal, K C G College of Technology stated that several students
from various departments including ECE, CSE had won university
ranks while 2 students from the M.Sc IT branch had won the Anna
University 5th & 7th ranks respectively in the university
examinations held by Anna University in the year 2006.
In her presidential address, Smt Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson,
Hindustan Group of Institutions (of which K C G College of Technology
is an affiliate) exhorted the students to face the world with
confidence, for the opportunities unfolding before today’s
generation was huge and this included both job opportunities
as also opportunities for entrepreneurship. Mrs Verghese further
stated that service sector would drive the next paradigm growth
for the Indian economy and wanted students with entrepreneurial
orientation to capitalize on the same. |
