BU signs MoU for dual degree programmes
COIMBATORE: Bharathiar University and Yunyung Teachers College,
Hubei Province, China, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding
to offer a dual degree programme in B. Sc. Networking Technology.
The MoU was signed by Yang Lizhi, President of the college,
and G. Thiruvasagam, Vice-Chancellor of the university, on the
latter’s recent visit to China. According to Mr. Thiruvasagam,
the course will be conducted by Bharathiar University at the
Yunyung college premises.
“Faculty from the university as well as the college will
handle the classes. Examinations will also be conducted by our
university. The students will come to Bharathiar University
in the third year,” he said.

Permission
“Permission will be sought from the Chinese Embassy for
implementation of the programmes. Also, permission will be sought
from the Association of Indian Universities for eligibility
certificate to recognise the degrees of the Chinese candidates
who complete their course here in order to enable them get jobs,”
the Vice-Chancellor said.
