Research centre opened
CHENNAI: A Centre for Research and Development was inaugurated
at Saveetha Engineering College recently.
Inaugurating the Centre, Anna University Director (Research)
V. Ramamurthi underscored the need for promoting research among
the students and faculty. The University was prepared to help
the self financing colleges in such ventures, he said.
President and chancellor of Saveetha University N. M.Veeraiyan
said three research teams would work in the areas of solar cells
and luminescence materials for radiography and thin films.
He also announced a reward scheme for publication of research
work by lecturers in international and national journals.
