TNAU signs MoU
MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING: A. Sampathrajan, Dean (Agricultural
Engineering), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (left), exchanging
an MoU with P. Sellamuthu, Director General, Indian Institute
of Energy Management, Chennai (third right), in the city on
Monday.
COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) inked
a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute
of Energy Management (IIEM), Chennai, here on Monday.
According to a university release, the MoU was signed by A.
Sampathrajan, Dean (Agricultural Engineering), TNAU, and P.
Sellamuthu, Director General, IIEM.
Scope
The scope of the MoU includes organising international and national
level seminars / symposiums on renewable energy applications,
status and future. It will also mobilise financial support for
strengthening research and development programmes on energy
management / conservation and sustainable resource development.
IIEM will also extend its cooperation to the Department of Bio-Energy,
TNAU, for conduct of activities such as training, operation,
repair and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery, energy
equipment and electrical utilities, energy auditing and management
aspects.
