SRM University signs MoU with Japanese organisation
To develop educational, training programmes in TQM
CHENNAI: The centre of excellence in Total Quality Management
(TQM), set up by SRM University, signed an
agreement with the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineering
(JUSE) here on Thursday.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is aimed at developing
an educational and training programmes in TQM, a press release
issued here said.
SRM University Vice-chancellor P. Sathyanaraynan said as per
the agreement both the institutions would conduct academic programmes
on quality management for the students, teachers and working
professionals at various levels.
The TQM Centre of Excellence has been set up in collaboration
with the Japan-based Tokai University.
SRM would also start a four-semester M.S course on TQM from
the coming academic year, he said.
The course content was prepared jointly by SRM and JUSE. “’We
are also planning to introduce full time M. Tech course in TQM
in the near future,” he added.
