Workshop on hemiplegia
Chennai: A workshop on hemiplegia was conducted by the department
of physiotherapy, Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute
(Dr. MGR University) in Maduravoyal, near Chennai.
Dr. Maggie J. Bailey, lecturer, Keele University, Manchester,
addressed the participants on the important aspects of the condition
and its management. Dr. J. Jayachandran, senior physical therapist,
National Health Service, Wales, U.K., joined Dr. Bai ley in
conducting the workshop.
Others who participated included ACS Arun Kumar, managing director,
G. Gopalakrishnan, vice-chancellor, A. Ravi Kumar, secretary,
Durai Rajan, medical superintendent, and K.Ganesan, principal
and head of the department of physiotherapy.
