MBA in Hospital Administration
Madurai: A full-time MBA course in Hospital Administration was
launched by the Madurai Kamaraj University jointly with the
Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) at a
function here on Monday.
The Department of Management Studies, MKU, will conduct the
two-year programme.
S. Aravind, Administrator of Aravind Eye Hospital, who inducted
the students to the new course, emphasised the need to develop
the right attitude, a willingness to change and initiatives
required in hospital administration.
A press release from the MMHRC said that Dr. Aravind urged the
youngsters to develop managerial ability to face complex situations
and highlighted the opportunities available in the health sector.
S. Gurushankar, vice-chairman of MMHRC, spoke on the role and
importance of professional administrators in hospitalsand their
contribution towards development of healthcare sector.
The Head of Department of Management at the varsity, U. Surya
Rao, welcomed the gathering.
