MBBS, BDS counselling from August 27
Chennai: The second phase of counselling to fill up vacancies
in MBBS and BDS courses in government and private colleges will
begin on August 27.
Tentatively, there are 91 vacancies in government medical colleges,
4 in IRT, 36 in self-financing medical colleges and 35 vacancies
in the Government Dental College.
Candidates who have already joined a course in a government
or self-financing colleges will be considered for reallotment
in the existing vacancies as per merit and communal reservation.
Eligible candidates as per the order of the Supreme Court of
India will be considered for allotment of MBBS/BDS courses in
government and self-financing medical and dental colleges.
If vacancies exist after the second phase of counselling is
complete on Tuesday, counselling for those seats will be held
on August 30 for government medical colleges, IRT and government
dental colleges, according to a press release.
Periodical updates on the Internet
The vacancy positions will be updated periodically on the Internet.
Counselling for BDS courses in self-financing dental colleges
will be held on August 31 and September 1.
