According to Vice-Chancellor G. Thiruvasagam, 75 faculty members will be appointed to these departments.

The university will approve 25 programmes in healthcare management to be conducted in 14 hospitals.

Diploma, postgraduate diploma, advanced diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees will be offered.

Twenty seats will be offered in each programme.

The basic theory material will be provided by the university, which will also award the degree. Practical hands-on experience will be provided in the hospitals.

The off-campus programmes will begin in September.
