Walk-in counselling to fill vacant seats
Chennai: Walk-in counselling for admission to vacant seats in
BSMS, BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/ BNYS courses for 2007-08 in government
and self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu for candidates who
have passed higher secondary examination in their first attempt
will be held on October 9 at the Directorate of Indian Medicine
and Homoeopathy, Arumbakkam, Chennai 106, according to an official
press release.
The minimum aggregate eligible marks: Open competition –
50 per cent, BC – 45 per cent, MBC – 40 per cent
and SC/ST 35 per cent.
Candidates should have completed 17 years on or before December
31, 2007. They are requested to bring all the original documents
or bonafide certificates with passport size photographs to get
the application form in person and submit the filled-in form
along with other testimonials as required. Two demand drafts,
one for Rs. 500 for application cost and another for Rs. 5,000
towards tuition fee drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection
Committee should be submitted along with the completed application
form. SC/ ST candidates are exempted from the payment of application
fee. Vacancy position: Government colleges – Siddha –
2 (SC – 1 and ST – 1), Unani – 7 and yoga
and naturopathy – 1 (MBC/ DC-1). Self-financing colleges:
