Merits of neuclear energy

SMK (Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal) Fomra Institute of Technology celebrated its annual day recently. Delivering the key note address on the merits of nuclear energy, Dr. Swaminathan, director (EIG), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam said, "Power generation through the nuclear way is economical. In a country like France, 70 per cent of power is generated through the nuclear route,"

A. Sathish Kumar, managing director, Henkel India, distributed the prizes.

Dr.N.Ravichandran, president (Operations) Lucas TVS, presided over the function. Prizes were given to students who excelled in academics and sports. A total of 51 students won gold medals and cash prizes for academic excellence.
