Single window system admission over

For diploma course in teacher education
  • For diploma course in teacher education
Chennai: The single window system admission for the diploma course in teacher education was completed on December 11, according to a press release issued by the Directorate of Teacher Education, Research and Training (DTERT).

The State Government has earlier issued an order stating that new TTI managements must get the list of staff approved by the DTERT on or before November 30. Admissions need to be closed on or before the same date for the academic year 2006-07.

The circular said private TTIs, who recently received recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), but did not get their staff list approved by the director of the DTERT, were not permitted to admit students for 2006-2007.

The DTERT has requested students to be alert and not join such institutes (which have not obtained NCTE approval and/or whose staff list has not been approved by the DTERT), as the department may not approve of their admissions.

Details of approved TTIs will be available at http://www.dtert.tn.nic.in/ or the Collector's office or DIET or the CEO/DEO/DEEO/AEEO's offices.
