Spot admission for certificate courses
Coimbatore: Spot admission for certificate courses through the
distance education mode will go on till July 20 at Tamil Nadu
Agricultural University.
According to a release from G. Selvaraj, Director of Open and
Distance Learning, the six-month courses can be pursued by farmers,
rural youth, women, self help groups, students and entrepreneurs.
Courses will be offered in mushroom production, waste recycling
and vermi-composting, coconut cultivation, cotton cultivation,
hybrid seed production in cotton and maize, wasteland development,
repair and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery, preservation
of fruits and vegetables, nursery techniques and propagation
of horticultural plants, gardening and landscaping, medicinal
plants, bakery and confectionery products and modern irrigation
management.
Course fee is Rs. 1,500 and can be paid at the time of admission.
