Counselling schedule for medical seats
Allotment subject to availability of seats
Chennai: Counselling for re-allotment of MBBS seats in government medical colleges and allotment of MBBS seats in
Government/ IRT/self-financing medical colleges will be held as follows:
Counselling for candidates who have been already selected and who have joined Tamil Nadu government
medical colleges in vacancies arising due to surrender of All-India quota seats by DGHS will be on August 24; counselling for candidates who have been waitlisted for the consequential vacancies in Government MBBS and IRT, Perundurai medical colleges and for those who opted for and were waitlisted for MBBS in self-financing colleges on August 11 and 12 will be on August 25. For BDS, the remaining seats in Government dental colleges/self-financing dental colleges will be filled on August 28.
If the candidates fail to attend the counselling, they will not be considered any further under this particular category.
The candidates attending counselling for allotment to self-financing medical and dental colleges are advised
to bring demand drafts for Rs 5,000 (Rs 2,500 in case of SC/ST), and Rs 500 for processing fee drawn in favour of the Secretary,
Selection Committee, Chennai - 10 and for government medical/dental colleges Rs 2000 (Rs 1000 for SC/ST) and Rs 500 for processing fee.
Allotment will be made subject to availability of seats and movement of candidates from one category to another category.
Call letters/ telegrams had been sent. If the candidates had not received them, they can attend the counselling without waiting for the intimation letter as per schedule. The seat matrix, fee structure and counselling schedule is available on the website - www/tnhealth.org, according to an official press release.
