MoU with U.S. varsity

Chennai: The Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) near Tambaram has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Western Michigan University, USA.

Hossein Mousavinezhad, Professor and Chair, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Department of Electrical/Computer Engineering, visited BIHER on Wednesday to sign the MoU.

Ona of the BIHER's constituents is the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology established here by the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust.

It also has working links with several local, national and international organisations, including public sector institutions.

The Western Michigan University is a multi-disciplinary college with a student population of around 40,000. It offers several degree programs in engineering and applied sciences.

The MoU seeks to promote teaching and research personnel exchange, student exchange, shared research, course collaboration and other activities of mutual interest between the two institutions.
