Panel report by month-end
Chennai: The M. Anandakrishnan Committee, constituted by the
State Government to recommend modalities for abolishing the
common entrance test for admission to professional undergraduate
courses, will submit its report by the end of this month. "We
have received over 3,000 responses from students and parents
so far. Most of them are not in favour of the CET. We have also
analysed data regarding the TNPCEE and the Board examination
results of the past five years. Based on this, the committee
will submit its recommendations to the Government,'' committee
chairman M. Anandakrishnan told reporters on Saturday.
