Counselling continues, 13,372 allotted seats
Chennai: On the tenth day of counselling for Tamil Nadu's engineering colleges, 1531 candidates of 1993 the called were allotted seats.
There are no seats currently available in Anna University under the OC and BC categories; 18 seats are available for MBC, 85 for SC and 12 for ST. Government and Government-aided colleges have 13 vacant seats in the OC category, 37 for BC, 57 for MBC, 328 for SC and 29 for ST. The self-financing colleges have a total of 43, 346 vacant seats across all categories.
The total number of candidates allotted seats over 10 days stands at 13,372 out of the 17,409 called for counselling. Cumulatively, there have been 3,944 absentees and 93 skipped candidates.
