Center for Entrepreneurship Development (Tamil Nadu)
was originally established as an autonomous institution of Madurai
Kamaraj University and later de-linked to function as an independent
state level approved Entrepreneurship Development Institution recognized
by Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu. Dr. R. Jayaraman,
Coordinator, School of Business Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University
is the Member Secretary of CED (Tamil Nadu).
Objectives

3. NGO Capacity Building for Mass Employment Generation
4. Women Empowerment.

CED is housed in an elegant green campus located at Perungudi, closer to
Madurai Airport. The campus has well furnished air conditioned cottages,
banquet hall, training hall with latest audio - visual equipment,
elaborate lush green garden, swimming pool etc. which are the pre-requisites
of any reputed Training Institution. Further, it has a committed team
of well-trained full time and visiting professionals and resource
persons drawn from all over the country.
Information Technology Incubator center
(ITIC) - CED (Tamil Nadu) firmly believes in promotion of technocrat entrepreneurship
through Incubator Concept. The Information Technology Incubator being
established as a joint venture with Government of Tamil Nadu at an
expenditure of Rs. 100 lakhs provides state - of - art facilities
for software development like satellite connectivity, support from
IT Industry, etc. to the budding entrepreneurs in IT industry.
CED Net Working
CED (Tamil Nadu) is establishing branches all over the state in the
district Headquarters and Important centers to replicate its activities.
Currently, there are 31 branches in Tamil Nadu in its network.

CED (Tamil Nadu) believes in appropriate skill training to enhance the employability
of the educated youth. Sophisticated training facilities have been
established in the campus in Food Production, Food & Beverage
Service, House Keeping & Front Office Management, IT Enabled Service,
Bio informatics, CGFNS Coaching to India Nurses for Global Placement
etc.
So fare 656 students have completed their course through our Institution
and all of them are well placed in leading star hotels and catering
companies in India and abroad. The employment opportunity for catering
professionals is excellent and we recruit our students also through
campus interviews. We do help out the students to start their own
catering business if they opt for. We help the students who are already
placed in the industry for career advancement by providing further
placement assistance and information.
